Iingcambu zempumelelo creative arts working in partnership with the Xegwi Xam San Abbathwa Aboriginal Indigenous Authority House, is going to hold auditions for children interested in performing arts and taking part in the Inkcubeko Yomntwana Arts Festival. The auditions are going to be taking place at Mdantsane on 4 June at 12pm, them on June 11 at Mdantsane Arts Centre and 18th of June at Gompo Arts Centre.

The inkcubeko arts festival launched back in 2018, the aim was to create a platform for kids to exhibit their skills and artistry. This is for children in primary and high school interested in art, and children from special schools. The event caters for Drama, Poetry, Storytelling, Book Reading, Modeling (fashion show), and visual arts (drawing, painting and pottery). This is a 3-day event, starting with a Gala Dinner on the first day and then performances for the remainder of days.

Cinga Dyala the founder of the World of Art Movement says; “The main aim of this event is to introduce Art as a career to children from an early age, and promote giftedness for children to embrace their talents and get recognition for their talents. No matter where you are from or who you are; there is a gift entrusted within you and it is your purpose to unlock that gift”.

They would appreciate the support of the public as they raise funds for the festival, they are hosting World of Art Soul Sessions where people are invited to donate as they perform, they will be performing at the Umtiza Arts Festival next week and then in June they will be performing at the National Arts Festival. Anyone interested in donation an amount of money would be highly appreciated.
