The governing body of the country in the Eastern Cape has not yet resolved administrative issues ahead of an interim conference to be held over the weekend in East London.
It is just a few days before the Eastern Cape conference, but the ruling party is still embroiled in internal strife. The event will mark the inauguration of former president Cyril Ramaphosa as another candidate for the presidency.
“The most recent ruling confirms the seriousness of the new centralized system and further changes the decision, suspending the convening of the conference pending the resolution of pending dispute,” said a statement from the ruling ANC.
Provincial project co-ordinator Lulama Ngcukayitobi sent an invitation to the Agency’s meeting to members of the national executive committee and members of the provincial leadership to discuss the outstanding issues of the conference. The co-ordinators of the project and the national executive will also decide on the success of the participants in the conference.
