Back to School campaign – Mdantsane

Schools officially open today for coastal Provinces. Eastern Cape Premier, Lubabalo Oscar Mabuyane kicked-off the province’s back-to-school campaign this morning, to assess the state of readiness. Premier Mabuyane visited Masixole High School in Mdantsane, Buffalo City Metro.

The opening of schools comes after the recent floods that have caused damage to infrastructure in various schools in the province and has seen Masixole High School losing a learner who was in Grade 12 in 2021.

Masixole is but one of the schools that Premier and his Executive Council will be visiting to not only assess the readiness to open, but also address a way forward and interventions on some of the challenges faced.
