Eastern Cape based Premier Soccer League (PSL) side Chippa United announced on December17, in a statement that they have parted ways with their head coach Gavin Hunt.

Hunt had been put on precautionary suspension last month following the clubs ‘worst’ start in the current 2021/2022 DSTV Premiership league campaign.

The club said in the statement, “We reached an agreement with Gavin Hunt to terminate his contract as Head Coach, Four months settlement was reached between the two parties”

Chippa then added “We extend our gratitude and support to Gavin Hunt and wish him the best of luck in his future endeavours.”

Kurt Lentjies remains as the interim head coach with Siyabulela Gwambi as his assistant.

With half of the games played in this current league campaign, Chippa are currently sitting second bottom on the log.
