Pay my Bills Assists Family with Groceries

By Irshaad Gangat

The Kuhambo family lost everything in a fire recently when their nine roomed home caught fire. The family resides in an informal settlement in East London, Mdantsane Nu2. The family is made up of eight members including a 80
year old with chronic illnesses.

Nomanesi Kuhambo said they have lost her father’s chronic medication, the birth certificates of her three children, clothes and school uniforms. The family appeals to anyone who can assist them with a roof over their heads as
they are a large family with nowhere to go or at least material to build a shack, some clothes and food.

The Family entered on the Pay my Bils initiative by Kumkani FM and were voted for by listeners of KumkaniFM. Kuhambo came to the station to collect her groceries that she needed.

“I am very grateful to the listeners who voted and Kumkani FM, may the Lord bless them” said Nomanesi Kuhambo.
