Kumkanifm has embarked on an initiative that will be of assistance to the community. Every week the station gives away a R500 voucher to those in need to fight their financial strains. This feature is on our Afternoon drive that takes place on Monday to Thursdays 17:51, on Hustlers drive 15:00-18:00.

On October 22 Kumkani FM Pay My Bills bought school uniform for a 15-year-old boy, Simamkele Jili, from Mooiplas in East London, who had no
school uniform.

A listener Mr Monwabisi August, sent a voice note on hustlers drive for the pay my bills initiative seeking help for a young boy who he witnessed was struggling. He said, he noticed that shoes and clothes he wore were not in a
good condition, so him and his wife made a plan and bought him shoes for school and for home wear.

The story was voted for by the listeners and won. Jili was thankful to the listeners and KumkaniFM for helping him.
