Post-Election SA: 169 new Covid19 cases and 18 new deaths

With the country up and down with elections, load shedding and matric exams just to name a few, South Africa has unfortunately recorded 169 new cases, 23 hospital admissions.

NICD Spokesperson, Sinenhlanhla Jimoh confirmed that the Provinces with high infection numbers include Gauteng (22%), KZN (17%), and Western Cape (11%). And the lowest being the Eastern Cape (8%), North West (7%), Northern Cape (5%) and Limpopo (2%).

The festive season upon us, one can’t help but worry as numbers rise daily. Regardless of the current level, people are urged to sanitize, get vaccinated, social distance and to always wear masks.
