Fraud case of Sindiswa Gomba postponed

The fraud case against former Eastern Cape health minister Sindiswa Gomba is postponed to January 19, 2022.

Judge Bantubonke Tokota said there were initial issues to be considered, including two of the 14 accused and wanted to investigate an independent case.

Former health minister Sindiswa Gomba said postponing the trial was not a viable option and the difference over the past eight years was that she was able to provide a case management system and warn them about what to expect.

NPA spokeswoman Anelisa Ngcakani said the case was temporarily adjourned for further investigation, and they were confident that their cases would not be dropped.
