Alutha Pasile, a 25-year-old murder suspect, appeared in court today in East London. He is accused of killing and dismembering his lover Nosicelo Mtembeni, a final-year LLB student at the University of Fort Hare.

Alutha made his first appearance in court last month where he denied his bail application for the gruesome murder of his alleged girlfriend and dumping her body in a body bag in Quigney East London.

Pasile has confessed to killing the 23 year-old Fort Hare law student by pushing her against the wall, causing fatal injuries and dismembering her body.

Parts of Nosicelo Mtembeni’s dismembered body were found in a bag in Quigney while the rest was discovered at Pasile’s place.

The case has been postponed for further investigation and the accused has been remanded in custody and will return to court on November 9.
