VW is a well-known internationally company that designs, manufactures and distributes passenger and commercial vehicles, motorcycles, engines and turbo machinery and offers related services including financing, leasing and fleet management.
On June 26 10am, at the Border Alliance Taxi Rank in Makhanda (Grahamstown) the VW hosted an event called the VW Covoy. Generosity has been around since the dawn of humanity and has become a part of our everyday life and society. The fulfilling feeling of giving back and contributing to society is unparalleled. VW and VW Clubs gave back to the Makhanda community. The International Company handed over sanitary towels and food parcels to fifty Nombulelo Senior Secondary School in Makhanda, sponsored by Kelston VW, SVA sounds, Admix Entertainment, VW club, Border Alliance Taxi Association, VW Convoy and Social Development.
A teacher from Nombulelo Secondary Senior School Miss Mfecane gave thanks to what VW and drivers did for the school she also mentioned that the students of Nombulelo were really struggling since most of the pupils come from disadvantaged backgrounds. Miss Mfecane’s wishes that big companies like VW should contribute to the school or assist with anything they can.
