Siyamthanda Hletyiwe is a born and raised Eastern Cape young man who grew up being passionate about drawing. Hletyiwe lives in a Town called Cumakala where he developed his passion for designing.

“Growing up I used to draw a lot and I’d draw for people for as little as R2 and 50c as I was doing that because it’s something I loved. When I passed my grade 12 in 2009 I couldn’t go further with my studies because of unforeseen reasons therefore I decided to look for a job and I found one in a supermarket.

In 2011 I started practicing digital drawings as I had recently found the Adobe programme photoshop and learned my way through it. I mastered Photoshop and I started designing. As a graphic designer it is wise to own your own Camera and that is what I also did because some of my work requires pictures I took myself,” said the self-taught graphic designer, Siyamthanda Hletyiwe.

Hletyiwe said people saw his work and have been responding very well to it even though there are challenges faced here and there. He has designed a lot of posters and taken many pictures.
