ECDC Appoints Interim CEO as Dlulane Departs

The Eastern Cape Development Corporation (ECDC) announced the appointment of Mandla Mpikashe as Interim Chief Executive Officer effective 1 June 2021. This appointment follows the departure of Mr Ndzondelelo Dlulane who has diligently served the ECDC for the past 11 years.

Mpikashe joined the Eastern Cape Development Corporation, working as a Manager: Legal Services and Compliance. In 2017 he was promoted to the Corporation’s Executive team as Executive Manager: Legal, Compliance and Governance.

“Mr Mpikashe is a key member of the ECDC’s Executive team. His experience in the field of development finance, legal and compliance makes him suitable to step into this interim role. We are grateful that he has accepted our call for him to step into the arena and lead the Corporation during this period.” said ECDC Board of Director’s Chairperson Vuyani Jarana.

“We are at an advanced stage of our search for a fulltime Chief Executive Officer and an announcement in this regard will be made in due course. Our sincere gratitude goes to the outgoing Chief Executive Officer, Mr Ndzondelelo Dlulane who has served the organisation for 11 years, we wish him every success in his future endeavours.” said Jarana
