Mayibuye Transport Corporation introduces a new CEO

Mayibuye Transport Corporation has made another cabinet reshuffle once again, a reshuffle that saw Ms Rhoboji taking the CEO position in the Corporation.

Nomphelo “Pashee” Rhoboji as she is known, was unveiled to the Eastern Cape’s Transport MEC, Weziwe Tikana-Gxothiwe by board’s Chairperson, Andile Mini on the 19 May 2021 as the new CEO of the corporation. 

Ms Rhoboji, an academic, a seasoned administrator and strategist par excellence is currently serving a notice at the Easter Cape Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (COGTA) where she serves as a Deputy Directors General (DDG).

Gxothiwe has commended the board for going for a competent individual, with a good track record in public administration.

“The fact that the person entrusted with carrying out the duties of a CEO is a woman makes me even prouder. We have all the confidence in Ms. Roboji that she will be equal to the task at hand. We want to see this all important bus service moving forward and being able to self-sustain and most importantly expand its service to reach even more of our rural communities in desperate need of its services,” said Tikana-Gxothiwe.

Rhoboji is set to take over the reins on June, 1st 2021.
