The Premier of the Eastern Cape Province, Lubabalo Oscar Mabuyane will lead the provincial government’s delegation to a bilateral meeting with his Lower Saxony Counterpart, Minister-President of the State of Lower Saxony, Stephan Weil to renew the joint declaration on cooperation between the two provinces.

The meeting, which will take place on April 16 in a virtual meeting platform, will focus on taking stock of trade, economic, investment, sports and cultural relationships between the two provinces from the inception of the joint declaration of cooperation signed by the two provinces. These two provinces have joint cooperation on Agriculture, Climate Change Protection, Sport, Partnership between Buffalo City and the City of Oldenburg, trade and investment programmes between private companies in the two provinces that has been facilitate by both provincial governments.

Details of the outcomes of the meeting, information on the details of the areas of joint cooperation, which includes amount of trade between the two provinces, the status of implementation of agreements on the areas specified in the joint cooperation will be shared with the media after the meeting.
