Day 1 of the OR Tambo Working Visit

The Eastern Cape Provincial Government – led by Premier Lubabalo Oscar Mabuyane – is currently on a two-day working visit in the OR Tambo district.

The visit is intended to assess the state of service delivery in the District, as well as conduct an oversight of ongoing Small Town Revitalisation (STR) projects, including key infrastructure projects currently under construction – as stated in the 2021 State of the Province Address.

The April 8, day 1 visit, included a visit to Isilimela Hospital and a sho’t-left to Marine drive and Argate road in Port St Johns, as part of the STR projects oversight, as well as the official opening of Bomvini Senior Primary School in Libode.

April 9 will be the last day of the working visit and will include handing over cheques to Youth owned projects and a visit to the Amampondomise Great Place in Qumbu.
