Ndithunywa nguRhulumente wePhondo leMpuma Kapa ukuba ndizogqithisa amazwi ovelwano kwikhaya loZizi, ooDlamini, ooJama ka Sjadu, ooFakade ngesehlo sokushiywa kwenu nguTata uSisa Bikitsha. Inxeba lenu elinzulu libuhlungu kuthi sonke kuba uTata uSisa Bikitsha ebelulutho kwi lizwe loMzantsi Afrika jikelele.

Sidlulisa amazwi entuthuzelo ngokukhethekileyo kunkosikazi wakhe uMama uXolisile nabantwana bakhe bonke. Wanga uThixo angathomalalisa intlungu yenu. Hlalani niyazi ukuba uTata wenu unishiye ngokwasenyameni, uzakuhlala enani ngokwasemoyeni.

My special plea to the children of uTata uSisa is for you to take good care of your mother during this difficult time as she is definitely the most affected by the passing of her soul mate, a person she has spent all her life with, to build a better life for you. Ngoko ke sithi Thuthuzelekani. Niyazi ukuba “ in him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with purpose of his will”. Ephesians 1:11.

This reminds me eliculo lithi  “Sicelo kuwe menzi wetu,   sihleli thina ngokungazi , izinto zangomso asizazi, enguwe wedwa onokwazi yenza ngentando yakho .

Lets therefore humble ourselves to his counselling, his loving eyes is on us all things shall most definately work together for our good, for  we surely love him and we are most  certainly called according to his purpose.

Programme Director, Covid-19 has claimed 9716 lives of our people in our province. Among those victims is the name of uTata uSisa Bikitsha and many other luminaries from our province who succumbed to this deadly virus. We thought we had seen the worst of it last year when we saw mortality and infections numbers going down after the winter season. But we are starting this year with the sad passing of our people again. We cannot give up the fight and we must not give up the fight. Those of us who are not yet  infected must do everything in their  power to stay uninfected. Those of us who are infected must fight to kick it out of our bodies. When we started our war against this virus, our goal was not to lose any lives. Unfortunately, we have not realized that goal but that does not mean we must be in despair.

We still view ourselves fortunate that more 173 575 people out of   More than 188263 people who  were infected survived this virus. Had they also perished we would be in a far worst humanitarian crisis. UTata uSisa and all the other victims of the virus fought this invisible enemy fearlessly until the end. He would want us to continue fighting it  and to ultimately defeat the virus for the sake of our nation and her people. We are highly optimistic that the vaccines that have been developed will bring us relief and stop the virus in its tracks.

I would like us to remember u Tata uSisa as a true entrepreneur. What do I mean by true entrepreneur? There are people who get into business by chance. Many are persuaded by short term goals of accumulating wealth fast, and when they have those riches they tend to misuse them fast too to the detriment of the growth of their businesses. They have no patience to build their businesses and who are easily frustrated by challenges in the business environment and many of them tend to give up easily.

Then there are true entrepreneurs. People who are born and blessed with an entrepreneurial mind. People who do not cut corners to get to their destination, people who exercise sheer hard work and maximum discipline to achieve their goals. UTata uSisa Bikitsha belonged to this category of true entrepreneurs. This is a super league that has names such as the late Richard Maponya, uTata uNgumbela, ooMama uLaura Mphahlwa nabanye osomashishini abamnyama who defied the odds that were set by the apartheid government to be where they are today, in the highest echelons of the business sector. When we talk about black excellence, we refer to them, when we talk about role models we refer to them.

What i find odd and inspiring about these true entrepreneurs is that most of the time they trade with other ordinary citizens and are not heavily reliant on government contracts. This is a trait that young upcoming aspirant business people should emulate. There are more that 6 million citizens in the Eastern Cape who have immense buying power. Entrepreneurs should not limit their scope to the small slice of government contracts. This is what leads to frustrations when people don’t get tenders and this is also what leads to people paying bribes to unscrupulous government officials who take advantage of business people.

UTata uSisa igama lakhe belingoyanyaniswa nezinto ezingwenxa zorhwaphilizo, kuba ebengumntu onyanisekileyo. He had integrity which is in short supply in the business sector these days.

UTata uSisa did not get into entrepreneurship by chance. It was his life mission which he pursued the minute he arrived in big city lights of Johannesburg. No amount of obstacles that were put on his path could demoralize him to quit his mission. I am certain there were times he felt down and low on confidence but his instincts kept him going. I can also strongly guess that he kept going because of the support he got from his wife uMama uXolisile.

Yiyo lento sihlala sisithi igama loMama malibongwe kuba ixesha elininzi bayasakha singo Tata kwaye bakha namakhaya ethu. Yiyo lento sihlala sisithi masiyekeni ukubahlukumeza nokuba bulala. Xa ungavani nalowo unaye, nincame zonke indlela zokulungisa into yenu khangelani amanye amanqabane ningalimazani.

Siyambulele uMama uXolisile ngokunyamezela uTata nokumxhasa afezekise amaphupha abo bobabini.

The contribution he has made in the South African society through his business ventures that are employing thousands of people is a legacy that will keep his memory alive for generations to come. Uhamba xa simdinga nangakumbi apha ephondweni kuba ebengoyiki utyala imali kwiDolophu ezincinci avule amathuba emisebenzi. Ushiya umzila omhle wevenkile zakhe ezininzi koMthatha, Gcuwa, nase Mount Frere eziqeshe abantu bakuthi ingakumbi ulutsha.

Sikwi phulo lokuphucula ubume beziDolophu zincinci ukuze zibenomtsalane kubatyali mali. He was one of the business people whom we were expecting to target for our investment attraction efforts into small towns.

Siyayazi ke ukuba ushiye umlumiso ebantwaneni bakhe kwaye sinethemba lokuba bazokusincedisa kumsebenzi wokuzisa uphuhliso kwiphondo lethu.

Kungatshona ilanga ukuba sinokuthetha ngobomi buka Tata uSisa Bikitsha kwaye ke namhlanje utshaba lwethu lixesha kuba sizokumbeka kwikhaya lakhe lokugqibela.

Akwaba bekunobakho indlela yokubhala incwadi ngobomi bakhe izofundisa kwaye ikhuthaze abantu abaninzi abanomdla wokuba ngosomashishini.

The late former President Nelson Mandela was said “What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived. It is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead.”

UZizi has been a great servant of the people who made a lasting impact on humanity in his lifetime. Masimkhulule aphumle ngoxolo.

Enkosi.
