Sport followers and radio station listeners around South Africa are holding memorial services and Covid-19 regulated “drive-thrus” this week for the Umhlobo Wenene presenter, Sthera Ngqezana, who passed away on Saturday (November 14).
The East London’s Boxing Mecca has also made sure to pay its last respects to the man who always made certain that their voice was heard, whenever there was a boxing related matter, good or bad.
Boxing Mecca invites all sport loving people to join the “drive-thru” and walk that is to start at 1pm at the Indoor Sport Centre, Highway, Mdantsane.
It will proceed to NU6 hall next to the Mdantsane City mall where a short prayer service will be conducted. This memorial service is from 1pm to 2pm. Boxing television channel Mbuyekezo, will be filming the event.
We want to make certainly sure that we send our last goodbyes to “Inja ye Game”, “Main man”, Sthera Ngqezana, who has been with us through thick and thin.
Sthera loved the development side of sport and would do a follow-up on matters raised by the guests he interviewed. He would make everyone feel very comfortable on the radio during his interviews.
