Communications and Digital Technologies Minister Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams will, on August 25, visit Bizana in the Eastern Cape to hand over ICT equipment to learners of Olisiwinga College and connect the local clinic, Amadiba onto the broadband grid.
Minister Ndabeni-Abrahams will be accompanied by provincial representatives. She is deployed in the Alfred Nzo District Municipality to coordinate the government’s COVID-19 intervention in the area. This is in line with President Cyril Ramaphosa announcement he made in May this year, that Ministers and Deputy Ministers including Directors-General, will be deployed to all districts and metros to improve government’s interventions in these areas.
Minister Ndabeni-Abrahams will make her first stop at the local clinic. The purpose of this visit will be to assess how frontline essential services are coping with the management of COVID-19 cases. The Minister, together with MEC and provincial representatives, will then pay a visit to the Olisiwinga College, where they will hand over ICT equipment to learners.
